Indigenous Community Climate Resilience Stories

Indigenous climate resilience is taking shape in many forms throughout the province; from Indigenous Initial Attack forest-fighting crews to Indigenous food sovereignty and food self-sufficiency projects, forestry governance, clean energy initiatives and more.

As one of our projects with the B.C. Climate Action Secretariat in 2022, Sa̱nala interviewed several Indigenous climate resilience leaders to highlight the unique projects happening across the province. The hope is that these stories help guide other communities in pursuing their own climate resilience initiatives.
