Jalissa Moody holds the Nuxalk names Sitl’ukamkiim and Aliis and belongs to the House of Nusmata and the House of Talyu. She is a member of the Nuxalk Nation and is of mixed-European descent. In October 2024, she joined Sa̱nala Planning as a Planner, bringing with her nine years of experience in the Indigenous housing sector. Her current portfolio focuses on projects that protect the land, foster strong partnerships between First Nations and local governments, and enhance emergency management planning. Jalissa holds a Master of Community Planning from Vancouver Island University, which supports her work in advancing community-led, culturally grounded planning initiatives. Her free time usually consists of rock climbing, honing her gardening skills, and hiking with her dog, family and friends.
