Sarah is a Métis with Blackfoot and Cree ancestry, bringing a strong background in community wellness, social services, and administration. She holds a Social Services Diploma from Vancouver Island University and has spent many years working in Indigenous and community-based settings across both Alberta and British Columbia. Sarah joined the Sa̱nala team with a focus on project coordination, logistics, and relationship-building with community partners. She is passionate about supporting locally driven visions and working alongside Indigenous communities to foster meaningful engagement. When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her with family, in the garden, or exploring the rivers and mountains of the Bella Coola Valley.
